I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place all ingredients in Thermomix bowl.  Mix 10-15 seconds on speed 7.

  2. Place dough on Thermomat and divide into 12 golf ball size portions.  Roll out thinly. (Note I am very rustic)

  3. Cook in a heavy based frying pan over moderate heat until it goes puffy.  I normally roll out the next one while this is happening.  Will only need a minute or two on first side and less on the flip side

Tip

These wraps are fabulous and so quick and easy.  They hold up well if you use a wet sauce in them too.  Great for dip plates, or if you want them cruchier just bake in the oven to dry out.  They else keep well in the fridge for a few days or freeze perfectly.

I can't recall where the original non Thermomix version came from but everyone asks me for the recipe.  I often used to double it without any problems just please be aware if you do choose to do this you may overload the bowl/ strip your blades.  Enjoy!!!

Please don't be tempted to use the kneading function/ interval speed as it makes the dough too hard to work with and won't roll out properly.

    Recipe is created for
    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

So easy and so good. Looks like I won’t be buying flats breads from the shop again. Planning on using this recipe a lot in the future. Thanks for sharing this great recipe.

Yum! Thank you! Included peeled garlic clove in original mix then also brushed in a blitzed mix of garlic and butter as each side had cooked. Great to include kids in the cook.

    Excellent, thanks so much.

Just as those before me have said, easy, works and very versatile. I made them to go with cevapcici, Tzatziki & salad for easy quick dinner on a 42 degree day when I couldn't face going to,the shop in the heat. Sooo thankful, this will be a 'go to' for so many things.

Really, really appreciate the tips, I am one to tamper with recipes, but followed this to the letter and worked perfectly.

i too added garlic to the mix, I will add more next time. Further note to self, make sure pan has reached temp before dry frying, yay, pretty healthy too.
