I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
1. Put raw sugar in TM and grind 1 min speed 9. MC on
2. Add milk and bring to the boil: Speed 2 for 15 mins at 100 degrees, MC off
3 Cook for 2 hours at 90 degrees speed 2, MC off.
4 Add butter, cook for another 5 minutes at 90 degrees speed 2, MC off
Tip
When grinding the sugar, put a paper towel between the lid and the MC. saves a lot of dust everywhere...

all I ended up with was sweet milk.....even after days in the fridge it was no thicker..just butter floating on the top..ended up tossing it out
mine was just the same and even after several days in the fridge it was just butter floating on top of mike
Thanks this was so handy when I had no condensed milk in the pantry - was a bit thinner than shop condensed milk but worked a treat
Have I done something wrong? I followed instructions to the tee and it's just the consistency of milk, but it tastes like it should?
Really, really nice. Worth the time taken to make
Can you make this with skim milk? Any suggestions on how to store it and for how long?
Can you use skim milk instead? And how do you store it and for how long?
Mmm, I don't think I'll give this a go..... the ingredients read well; I'm all for simple and no additives. However, 2hours cookings doesn't make economic sense. Think I'll research other recipes and keep this in reserve
Simple ingredients......amazing results
you need to keep cooking it. with no lid on top so that vapour can escape
Or maybe you can suggest a way to fix it?
