so delicious!! I also used 600ml milk and was still thick enough. egg whites add a nice fluffy texture but still great without.
Very nice I put in 600ml mil & about 2tspns of vanilla essence. I went back for 2nds but my family had eaten the lot. A 2nd thermo jug helped speed the process, as it was clean & dry - ready to go for the egg whites.
PS.Last night my egg whites woudn't whip, and the sago was just as nice without them. I doubled the sago to 200gm & 1.2litres of milk etc Also sprinkled nutmeg on top of the finished sago - yum!
How much extra milk did everyone use please I'm having no luck with sago in my thermi, also can I do this in my tm5 and do I need to do anything different thank you
I made this for my husband as he loves Sago. He loved it so much that he is asking for it for dessert every night!!
I loved Sago as a child so have been looking for a recipe so I can enjoy it again... This one was way too thick - but i will try it again and maybe soak the sago for longer in water first then add the milk.
Yummy recipe, I also found I needed to add extra milk to get the consistency I like
This was a big hit in our house! My two little boys loved it and I will definitely make it again. A great winter dessert.
I found you might need a little extra milk. Very nice!!!
