I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. Whizz the Tim Tams on speed 7 for 30 seconds with the blade.  You will find this makes the bikkies a fine texture.

  2. Add the cream cheese - preferrably at room temperature.  Always cut the block into at least 8 pieces before adding.  Add the butterfly blade, speed 4 for 40 seconds

  3. Roll the mixture into balls, around a teaspoon in size each and pop them in the freeser.  I use alfoil to layer them on.

Rinse your bowl, ready for the chocolate melting.  Chill whilst they are chillin'.....or cook dinner, put the kids to bed, or have a wine!

  4. After an hour in the freezer, add the chocolate into the clean bowl and gently melt that at 50 degrees, speed 2 for 2 minutes.  It's best if the chocolate is at room temperature, otherwise you may need a little longer to melt.

  5. Take the balls our of the freezer and roll them in the chocolate.  I use the pop sticks which make them easy to dip and roll to coat evenly.  It also makes it fun later on to serve - people go nuts over these sticks!

  6. If you want to add anything on the outside of the balls, such as white chocolate, melt it and add this now.  You could also add sprinkles or other decorations just whilst the chocolate has a little 'stickiness' left.  I don't usually add anything further though, especially for adults, they just like the plain indulgence of chocolate!

Tip

If you're creative, put them on sticks and make them into flowers, skewer them on to boards, whatever your imagination suggests....the list goes on.  Chocolate loves will smell them out a mile away, so be prepared for them grabbing multiple sticks!

I made this with white tim tams and another lot with oreos and didn't bother with the butterfly - made clean up easier.  I rolled them in Cadbury Flake!!!!
