I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
1. For the espresso I used my Aldi Expressi and pods. 6 pods yield 600-700g of coffee if you do 1 long cup and 1 short cup per pod. I used the New Guinea flavour which is strength 10. I also used a jug to collect the coffee instead of a cup and removed as much foam from the top of the coffee as I could before adding to the Thermomix.
2. Add the sugar then the coffee to the Thermomix and stir 4 to 5 minutes speed 1 until sugar is dissolved. MC off.
3. Remove jug from base and allow coffee to cool.
4. Add vodka and vanilla essence and stir 1 minute speed 1 to 2 to thoroughly combine, MC off unless splashing.
5. Bottle and enjoy! Makes about 1.5 litres (recipe form doesn't cope with the .5).
Kahlua
Tip
Add a vanilla bean to your bottle for extra flavour. Looks really good in bottles you may be gifting.
Store in the cupboard and should keep for at least 12 months.

Brett_1978@hotmail.com:I found your method for the coffee part worked well for me too! I did the same but mixed it at 2.5 to 3 speed, which resulted is less crème. Then followed the rest of the instructions and get a perfect result every time. Loved by everyone!
Sensational! Just as good as the real thing.
I halved the recipe and used a keto friendly sugar...magic!!!
The espresso has me a little scared to start. Espresso is traditionally a 30ml shot of very strong coffee yet you say you only used 6 pods. 600ml of true espresso would be 20 pods. Would it be more like 600ml of long black coffee?
There are a few questions about storing and how long - I keep it in the cupboard and have had some that has been there for about 12 months (forgot it was there ) and it was still fine.
This is an awesome recipe. Top quality, delicious and very easy. The expresso worried me but I used 3 tablespoons of Macona with 700ml water and cooked 80 degrees, 5 minutes, speed 4. Take out and hold back froth from 'expresso'. Delicious!
Love this! Too easy to drink though
Approximately how long would this store for and does it need to go into the fridge?
This is so deliciously amazing!
What would be the use by date on this?
Thankyou
Just made this today. It smells and tastes just like the store bought. Very quick and easy to make. Thank you for sharing.
I used a coffee percolator to make our coffee.
I have a very happy hubby at the moment
Glad you liked it
