I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
- 1. Pour 4 eggs in the TM bowl and mix: 10 sec/speed 4.
2. Bring up the scale and add the tuna.
3. Add grated cheese, breadcrumbs, herbs, salt and pepper and combine gently: 20 sec./"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 1.
4. Lay a slightly damp linen cloth or a dampened and wrung paper towel on the bench or over a board, pour the tuna mixture over and wrap it into a salami shape: tie it with kitchen string like a parcel, in both directions. Tie a few loops along the lenght every 4-5 cm to keep it all together nicely.
5. Pour in the bowl 700 g water and 1 tbs of vegetable stock.
6. Place the wrapped roll in the Varoma dish and steam 30 min/Varoma/ speed 1.
7. Let it cool down well before unwrapping it. Serve it at room temperature or cold, sliced next to a salad and accompanied with Thermomix Mayonnaise.
Tip
This recipe is for 4 servings calculating 100 g tuna per person.
Can be reduced, or increased up to 500 g of tuna if steaming in the Varoma, in order to fit in the Varoma dish. For larger quantities, mix it in the TM bowl, then bring a large pot of water to boil with celery stalks, carrots and onion to taste. Add salt or vegetable stock and cook simmering for 30 min.
Great dish to prepare a day ahead. Easy bring-a-plate option for a summer picnic or a buffet.

TM 6
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
