Ingredients

  • 300 grams Sushi Rice, (rinsed)
  • 900 grams water
  • 4 portions Salmon Fillets, skin off, (150g each)
  • 12 portions Baby zucchinis
  • 1 portion spring onion
  • 60 grams soy sauce
  • 3 teaspoons honey
  • 3 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried chilli flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeks

Recipe's preparation

    Marinade
  1. Describe the preparation steps of your recipe

  2. Roast Sesame Seeds
  3. Place the sesame seeds in the TMX bowl

    Roast on Reverse Speed 3 for 5 minutes on 120 degrees

  4. Prepare Vegetables
  5. Wash zucchinis

    Trim end of stalk

    Place in Varoma tray and set aside

    Cut spring onion up into matchstick size slices, and add to the reserved marinade

  6. Time to cook
  7. Add water to TMX bowl

    Add rice to TMX basket and insert into TMX bowl

    Add damp baking paper to Varoma basket and place salmon steaks and marinade in it (do NOT add the Varoma tray with zucchinis yet) 

    Cook on Varoma for 8 minutes on Speed 3

    Turn the salmon steaks

    Add the Varoma tray containing the zucchinis

    Cool on Varoma for a further 8 minutes on Reverse 3

  8. Serving
  9. Add a scoop of rice to each bowl

    Place a salmon steak into each bowl

    Add 3 baby zucchinis to each bowl

    Drizzle  reserved marinade with spring onions over fish and rice

    Sprinkle roasted sesame seeds over fish and rice

    Eat immediately

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
