Tuna Mornay Pasta Bake by The Busy Thermie
Crumb
- 15 g parmesan
- 1 slices wholemeal bread
- 0.5 tsp Dried parsley
Sauce
- 600 g Milk
- 60 g Butter
- 60 g plain flour
- .25 tsp mustard powder
- 1 tsp Vegetable stock paste, or stock powder
- .25 tsp Onion powder
- .25 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 pinch ground turmeric
- .5 tsp salt
- 1 dash pepper, ground
- 425 g Tuna in spring water
- 150 g Carrot, peas and corn frozen veg mix
Pasta
- 350 g Penne Pasta

- Add parmesan cheese to bowl and blitz 5sec/SP9.
- Add 1 slices of bread and 0.5 tsp dried parsley to bowl and blitz 3sec/SP7. Transfer to a separate bowl for later.
- cook pasta as per instruction on the stove, add pasta to boiling water once you have the sauce cooking so they are ready at the same time.
Once pasta is cooked drain and leave in saucepan with lid on until ready to add to sauce. - Preheat oven to 180degrees.
Add milk, butter and flour to bowl. Cook 8mins/100degrees/SP3. Stop halfway through cooking and add mustard powder, onion powder, garlic powder, turmeric powder, salt, stock paste and pepper, continue cooking. - Add tuna and frozen vegetables to bowl and mix reverse/10sec/SP3.
- Pour sauce into large casserole dish, add pasta and stir until combined. Top with bread crumb mixture and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes. Allow to rest and cool before serving.

Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
