Great recipe.
It's a good one!
So easy. Didn't have Worcestershire so subbed a bit (tamarind paste and a little mustard).... we'll see how that goes! Also had left over veggie bake that I mashed up for topping... nothing wasted in this house! Oh, and cheese on top 'cos I just love grilled cheese 😁 oh and also some psyllium to soak up juice and for fibre, looks and smells great so far!
I halved everything and it was a pretty tasty and easy to follow recipe. Easy to substitute a few things too.
This was wonderful l read all the comments before cooking, so l drained a bit of the liquid and it was a hit with the family
We loved this recipe. We even used the filling without the potato to make pies in our pie maker. Delicious
Just cooked this and found it very oily and potato very runny next time I will drain some if the juices from meat and add more potatoes but other than that very yummy will definitely cook it again
I did this recipe but only used 500g beef mince, onion, garlic, 3tbsp Gravox, 250g water and mixed peas and corn. Sounds plain but turned out great being so simple. I seemed to stuff up the mash potato but am yet to do a good mash in thermo (need to keep practicing)
This was a great receipe. The mince is a great texture. Not too fine but very nicely mixed together no big bits stuck together. I did not add the wine and I use a good quality bbq sauce instead of the oyster sauce. So basically I followed the receipe cooking times and ingredients but just changed the sauces to suit our taste. I've cooked Sheppards pie on the stove many times but this was far easier, I will cook it this way, all the time now.
