I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

    Meatballs
  1. Add Parmesan and grate 10 secs speed 10.

Add Bread further 5 secs speed 10.

Add 1 egg, salt and pepper to season and meat. Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" speed 4, 30 seconds.

Roll into balls and place in both Varoma tray and Varoma, spreading evenly.

  2. Sauce
  3. Add all sauce ingridients into the bowl. Speed 4, Varoma Temp for 20 min.

After 20 minutes if the sauce is not thick enough for your liking add 2 more table spoons of flour. You can also add another dash of Worcestershire sauce to taste. Place basket or emty varoma (placing meatballs in thermoserver) on top and set for speed 4, 4 minutes.

Once meatballs are cooked and sauce is to your liking, serve with mashed potato and steamed vegies, or Chips..... we liked it with chips.

Tip

Left overs - use meatballs in a garden salad with a drissle of the sauce cold, tastes like a big mac without the bun and all those nasties!

But chances are there wont be many! You might just have to make 2 batches of meatballs, there are approx. 50 meatballs per batch but they are small! There should be plenty of sauce to go round for 100 meatballs though.

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Wow I was so happy with how easy this recipe was. I added the extra flour at the end. I felt like a chef serving this to my family. Just wondering if you can freeze the leftover sauce?

I used Dijon instead of American mustard, pretty nice sauce, very rich. I had to add the extra flour at the end to thicken the sauce.

As a 'simple' cooker, I tend to follow recipes to the letter. However I DID work out that the chicken stock wasn't just 500g of power. Used 2 teaspoons with nearly 500g of water, straight in to the mix.
