Ingredients

GF Meatballs

  • 2 slices Gluten free bread
  • 80 g Almond milk
  • 12 Basil leaves
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 500 g Beef mince
  • 1/2 zucchini
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 heaped tablespoons Vege stock paste
  • 2 heaped tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pinches pepper
  • gluten free flour, to flour bowl
  • olive oil, to grease varoma

Tomato Sauce

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 onion
  • 20 g Butter
  • 800 g Canned crushed tomatoes
  • 60 g tomato paste
  • 30 g GF Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 level teaspoons salt
  • pinch pepper

Recipe's preparation

    GF Meatballs
  1. Place a small bowl onto mixing bowl lid and weigh 80g of almond milk. Place the 2 slices of gluten free bread in and allow to soak. Place basil and garlic into mixing bowl and chop 6 sec/speed 6. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula. Chop again 3 sec/speed 6. Add in carrot and zucchini and mix 10 sec/speed 5. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula. Chop again 5 sec/speed 5. Squeeze excess milk out of bread and throw out the milk. Add soaked bread into mixing bowl and add the beef mince, eggs, stock, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste and salt and pepper. and mix 10 sec/speed 5. If mixture needs to be further mixed increase in 3 second increments on speed 5 until mixed to desired consistency. Lightly flour a bowl with GF plain flour and transfer meatball mixture into a bowl. Clean and dry mixing bowl. Lightly grease Varoma dish and tray with olive oil. Roll mixture into small meatballs and divide them between Varoma dish and tray. Set Varoma aside.[/size]
  2. Tomato Sauce
  3. Place garlic, onion and butter into mixing bowl and chop 5 sec/speed 5. Sauté for 3 min/130°C/speed 1. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, GF Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Place Varoma into position, secure Varoma lid and cook 20-25 min/Varoma/speed 1. Serve meatballs with GF Pasta or on a bed of mashed potatoe and greens. Pour tomato sauce over meatballs.
