Ingredients
Steak &Kidney doughboys
- 2 slices bacon, Chopped roughly
- 1 --- brown onion, Cut into quarters
- 50 g Butter, Chopped into small blocks
- 1 level tsp dried mixed herbs
- .5 level tsp ground black pepper
- 1.5 level tsp salt
- 500 g Beef, Diced into cubes
- 500 g Beef kidney, Diced into cubes
- 2 level tbsp beef stock paste
- 100 g water
- 140 g self-raising flour
- 80 g full cream milk
- 3 heaped tablespoons cornflour, Mixed with 2 tablespoons water

- Place SR flour, 25g of butter and 1/2 tsp salt into "Closed lid" . Mix 15 seconds speed 4.
Add milk and knead 25 seconds.
Roll heaped tablespoons of dough into balls and place on lined top varoma tray. Cover and set aside.
DONT WASH BOWL
Add roughly chopped bacon and quartered onion into "Closed lid" . Chop for 2 seconds speed 5.
Scrape down bowl.
Add remaining butter, mixed herbs, salt and pepper and sauté 3 minutes, 120c speed 1.
Add diced beef, diced kidney and sauté 10 minutes, 120c, reverse, speed 1.
Add 2 tablespoons of beef stock and water. Add cornflour mixed with 2 tablespoons of water. Place varoma on top and cook 15 minutes, varoma temp, reverse, speed 1.
Serve with mashed potato and steamed vegetables, and crunchy bread rolls.
Doughboys
Tip
Make sure to cut the core out of the kidney before dicing.
This makes lots of gravy so you may need to add extra cornflour.
