Recipe's preparation

  1. Cut corned beef into chunks and place in mixing bowlClosed lid"Closed lid" . Hit turbo/1 second intervals until beef is finely chopped but not minced. Remove from bowl and set aside in a large jug . If any large chunks are left return them to mixing bowl and chop again. Place into a jug or bowl and set aside.

Peel onion, and cut in half, add quartered carrot and zucchini and place in mixing bowlClosed lid"Closed lid" . Chop on speed 7/3 seconds. Add to corned beef in jug or bowl. And mix together.

Place water in TM bowl Closed lid"Closed lid" and heat 37 degrees/1 minute/speed 1. Add flour, salt, egg and oil, and milk. Blend on speed 7 for 20 seconds until smooth. If too thick, add a dash of milk and mix again. It should be thick but not as thick as cake batter.

Pour batter over meat, onion, zucchini and carrot and stir together.

Heat some vegetable oil in a frypan and dop large spoonfuls of the batter into the pan. Cook until bubbles form on top, then turn and cook the other side. Set aside in a warm oven on a plate lined with paper towel and cook remaining batter.

Serve with tomato sauce, barbecue sauce or worcestershire sauce, or condiments of your choice.

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
