I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add onion, garlic and chillies to bowl, chop 5 seconds speed 7.

Scrape down bowl, add oil and saute 3 minutes, 100 degrees speed 1.

Add remainder of ingredients (except for lime juice) and cook 6  minutes, 90 degrees speed 2.

    Blend 20 seconds, speed 7.

Scrape down bowl, add lime juice and mix for 30 seconds speed 2.

Tip

Add 1 chilli for a mild spice and 2 if you like it a bit hotter.

Lovely served on steamed chicken or vegetables.

Goes quite thick when cold, thins out when reheated. Keeps for about a week in the fridge and just add a squeeze of lime juice if you want to give it a freshen up.

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

I added some salt which helped bring out the satay flavor a bit more otherwise very good. Family enjoyed it too.

Lovely, but only after adding 200 grams of peanut butter, rather than the smaller amount.

Very simple and delicious. I used some peanut paste I made myself in the Thermomix and it tasted soooo good.

Did become very thick on cooling. I actually made this a few weeks ago. I'm making some more today and I'm wondering if I should maybe sore lime juice, or just some water to the recipe to make it thinner?

Hi, my sister-in-law gave me this and the whole family raves about it. I am planning to leave the onion out as I cannot tolerate. Hoping it will still taste great Smile

It makes just over 500 mls so I think this would be plenty. I also omitted the 10g soy sauce and it was still really nice
