Ingredients

Peach & Chilli Jam / Chutney

  • 6-10 Peaches, (amount used will vary depending on size of peaches), flesh only
  • 8 large mild chillies, deseeded & cut into 3
  • 2 teaspoons peanut oil
  • 4 cm ginger, peeled & roughly chopped into 4 pieces
  • 275 grams white sugar
  • 170 grams white vinegar
  • 6 Kaffir lime leaves

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add chillies and ginger to TM bowl. Chop 3 secs/Sp 5 or until ginger is finely chopped. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. 


     


    Add peanut oil and saute 100C/3 mins/counter-clockwise operation/Sp 1.


     


    Add peaches and chop 1-2 secs/Sp 4-5 until finely chopped. It is best not to chop it ultra fine.


     


    Add sugar, vinegar & Kaffir Lime leaves. Cook 20-30 minutes/100C/counter-clockwise operation/Sp 1.5 until thickened.


     


    Cool for 60 minutes and pour into sterilized jars. Keep in fridge. It will last several months if it is possible for it to last that long.


    Use as condiment for chicken & steaks or with cheese & biscuits.
