Ingredients
Potato and bacon soup
- 1 bunch bok choy, chopped approx. 1-2 inches
- 200 grams bacon, chopped approx. 1-2 inches
- 1 tablespoon TM Vegetable stock paste, FODMAP friendly
- 1 cube Massel chicken stock ube, (optional)
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 600 grams potato, chopped into cubes. Skin on.
- 600 grams water
- pepper, to taste

1. Place Bok Choy and Bacon into thermomix bowl. 8 sec, spd 9. Scrape down sides. Repeat if necessary.
2. Add stock, butter, 100g water and pepper into bowl. 3 mins, 100 deg, spd 3.
3. Add 500g water and potato into bowl. 30 mins, 100 deg, spd 1.
4. Blend 15 seconds, spd 6. Repeat for smoother texture if prefered.
5. Serve.
Tip
Depending on your taste you may remove the white stems of the Bok Choy / Pak Choi.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
