Ingredients
- 125 g Butter
- 65 g Coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon ground
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg ground
- 2 teaspoon ginger ground
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 170 grams golden syrup
- 425 grams spelt flour (or plain flour)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Bi-carb soda

1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees and line/grease biscuit trays.
2. Add butter, sugar, spices, salt, egg and golden syrup to bowl. Mix on speed 4 for 1 minute. Scrape down and mix further 30 seconds if needed.
3. Add flour, baking powder and bi-carb. Mix for 10 seconds, speed 6. Then knead for 1 minute.
4. Roll dough out to 4mm thickness and cut with cookie cutters.
5. Bake for 10 minutes.
Note: If decorating, allow to cool prior to decorating.
