Ingredients

Scone dough

  • 500 grams SR flour
  • pinch salt
  • 60 grams Butter, Cubed
  • 300 grams Milk
  • 250 grams dates, dried & pitted

Butterscotch

  • 100 grams Butter
  • 100 grams brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla Bean Paste

Recipe's preparation

    Scones
  1. Preheat oven 180C fan forced

    Line a baking tray with baking paper or thermo Oven mat

    Weigh 250g dried pitted dates into bowl, 6 secs Turbo, set aside, no need to clean bowl

    Place SR flour, salt & butter into TM bowl. Speed 6, 6 seconds. 

    Add chopped dates

    Add 300g milk. 1.30 min, kneading function. 

    Turn dough out onto a floured Thermomat.

    Using a rolling pin gently roll into a rectangle shape, approx 5mm thick

  2. Butterscotch Filling
  3. Add butter, brown sugar & vanilla bean paste in the TM bowl. Speed 4.5, 20 seconds. 

    Spread butterscotch evenly over the scone dough. 

    Roll into a sausage shape, place on a chopping board and cut into pinwheels using a sharp knife.

    Place on oven tray and bake for 10-15mins or until cooked through
