TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

I made this lemon cake this morning. I cut back on the sugar and only put in 170gm . It was a bit dry. I think next time I'll not put in the almond essence but will add in vanilla essence instead . Maybe also cook it for maybe five or ten minutes less. Sorry, I forgot to take a photo. It's been eaten already as we had friends over .
Don't put the Almond Essence in
This Nana Joan's Sultana Cake is ok.
Not sure what I did wrong, but it turned out like a rock cake.
I've Just taken this out of the oven and OMG it smells soooooo good .... hubby is insisting it's too hot for me to cut yet!
It only used half half the amount of sugar, with a teaspoon of vanilla paste and a few drops of doterra lemon oil. I also cut the baking time by 5 mins because my oven is annoying 😬
When growing up my nana made a sultana cake. This recipe is so close to hers it’s fantastic. Don’t put lemon or almond essence in but 1 teaspoon of vanilla bean paste.
Love this cake.... my son likes the homebrand light fruit cake from supermarkets so i made this for him. Big hit....perfect for freezer for school and husbands lunch. I dont have the almond or lemon essence so i just add a few drops of doterra lemon oil.
