- 1/2 lemon - juice only, (approx. 1 Tablespoon)
- 1 pinch salt

Insert Butterfly
Weigh in all ingredients.
With MC removed, turn speed dial to Speed 3.
Watch through the lid for the cream to reach the desired consistancy.
(Mine normally takes just under 30 seconds)
Remove and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Note: You can use white vinegar instead of lemon juice if you run out of lemons.

Sorry to be confused. Will this stay sour cream like in the fridge or does it need to be used up right away? Other recipes I've looked up online have required heating time to make homemade sour cream, so I'm confused is all.
Is this for just in a pinch? Or can I make a big batch of it once a week or every other week and keep it in the fridge?
Flavour great. However used lactose free cream and would not thicken. Not the first time stupid stuff would not whip! Great recipe, though.
Have used this recipe many times now. Make it before the beef strog off the BCB chip. Hubby says the sour cream makes it taste better.
