Recipe's preparation

    Dough
  1. Grease Veroma and tray.
Place water and Yeast into Thermomix Bowl and warm 3 min/37°C/speed 1.
  2. Add Flour and salt a Knead 2.5 min/Dough mode"Dough mode" Transfer dough into a bowl and let it prove for 1 hour or until double in size.
  3. divide rolls into 12 even portions or weigh dough to 60g portions into the greased Veroma dish.
I find 60g is a good size for slider buns, you may yeild more than 12.
  4. Fill Thermomix bowl with 1.5l of water, place veroma with buns on top and set to 30 min/Varoma/Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" /Speed 1.

    Pre heat oven to 200°C.
  5. Transfer slider buns to a lined baking tray and brush with milk. Bake for 5-10 minutes or until golden brown in 200°C oven.

Tip

I like to fill with pulled pork & coleslaw (thermomix recipe)

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Beautiful buns! My first steamed baked goods attempt and worked perfectly

These are awesome! The dough mixture comes out of the bowl cleanly and rises well. Make sure put buns in both levels of Varoma (unlike me who had most in just the bottom and when rushed, rip apart for next stage). I needed a lot of extra time for them to brown in my oven....but that's just my oven I think. It's worth getting them golden and crunchy on outside. Nice texture on the inside and will make again. We used them to make mini burger buns.
