Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

This is a favourite in my house. I use castor sugar, and cook it for 5 minutes longer.
Still grainy after adding 5mins cooking time. I suggest caster sugar or brown sugar.
Family favourite!
Does this need to be eaten straight away or can it be made for later? I was thinking of making it for my sons birthday party.
I cooked the caramel sauce for 5 mins longer and it turned out perfectly.
I will try to cook for longer as the sugar did not disolve, so was quite grainy.

This is the first thing I cooked in my thermomix and a much loved favorite, very quick and easy to whip up when you have guests over and usually have all the ingredients just sitting in the fridge and pantry. Great snack saver when u want to be hospitable. Just one problem, you wont want to share...
Too grainy. Im not sure why this didnt work for me?
good ole caramel popcorn - so much easier to make this way - i use a popcorn machine to make my own popcorn and this caramel was great for the birthday party. thanks
If you love sugar and all things sweet, this is for you! Easy to follow recipe and very yummy!!
