Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Nice tasting pickles. I drained off some of the juice and cooked a little longer as I added some more green tomatoes to use up my stash! Thanks 😊
Cooked in TM31
I cut the quantities back as this is the second time I have cooked it, and it was too much for my machine. Didn't add the water but mixed it with the cornflour at the end. Lovely pickles to serve with corn meat.
lovely and tasty. Need to drain off some liquid if you want it thicker
My first effort at pickles with the thermomix. Thank you for this recipe so easy to follow and I was very impressed with the outcome.
Thank you for sharing ... so easy to make & a great time saver ... no need to stand & stir the pot 20 out of 10 ..well done ... ops for got to say .. I have been making it the old way for over 20yrs ty once again
Lovely taste. I doubled the cayene pepper and left out the chilli. I also cooked for an extra 20 minutes with the basket on instead of the MC. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to drain the liquid out of the tomato onion mixture, so drained off half. Made just over 2 litres. Yummo
