  • 1 teaspoon Vegetable stock paste
  • 1 Large Brown Onion, peeled and quartered
  • 1/4 tsp raw sugar
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 250 gram Light cream cheese
  • 1 shallot, Finely chopped

Recipe's preparation

    French Onion Dip - Kiwi Style
  1. Closed lid"Closed lid" Put shallot in the bowl and process for 5 seconds on speed 7. Scrape sides and put chopped shallot in a dish and set aside.

    Closed lid"Closed lid" Add the brown onion to the bowl and process for 5 seconds on speed 7 scrape bowl and repeat.

    Closed lid"Closed lid" Add all other ingredients except cream cheese and Shallot to the bowl.

    Closed lid"Closed lid" Process for 10 minutes at 100c on speed 1. Set aside and allow to completely cool (can be refrigerated overnight).

    Closed lid"Closed lid" Put cold onion mixture in to the bowl. Add the cream cheese and chopped shallot. Process 20 sec speed 1.

    Serve immediately or store in the fridge until ready to enjoy (tastes even better the day after!)

Tip

If a thinner dip is required use margarine instead of butter or add a small amount of cream/milk with the cream cheese
