Recipe's preparation

    Grape Fruit Jam
  1. Step 1
Remove the all the grapes from the stems and place in the TM.
Run TM at speed 9 for 10 seconds with MC in place
  2. Step 2
Cook the juice in the TM for 12 Min on Speed 1 or 2 on Varoma Temp with MC off. If over boils, place TM basket on top of the lid for any splats.
  3. Step 3
Scrape down the sides of the bowl and add the sugar and the Juice only of one lemon (No pips).
Cook for 6 Min on speed 1 or 2 on Varoma Temp with MC off. Place TM Basket on top for any splats.
  4. Step 4
Add the Jam Setta Pectin and cook for 20 min on speed 1 or 2 on Varoma Temp. Place TM Basket on top.
  5. To check if Jam has been cooked long enough.
Place a small saucer/plate into the freezer for a few min.
Add a table spoon of the jam in the middle of the saucer and leave in the freezer for a few more minutes. Check if Jam has the correct consistancy. If ok, Place into sterilised Jars and let it rest at room temp over night.

If Jam is not set, keep cooking for another 5 min increments. Check for consistancy between each 5 minutes until Jam has set.

Note: If your grapes have seeds. Strain your Juice after Step 1 and remove the seeds. Place the juice back into the TM and continue with Step 2

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

I loved this jam. I only had 400 g pink grapes so I sort of halved it. Tastes great I couldn't measure the pectin on my tm for some reason so I used way too much. Despite my dramas it's a tasty jam

Picked the grapes this afternoon, followed the recipe and used my 2-week-old Thermomix T5. BRILLIANT process and result. By far the easiest jam-making I’ve ever done...and I’ve done lots. I’ll be using this recipe again tomorrow after I pick more grapes!

Recipe worked perfectly. Beautiful colour. Did have lots of bubbling over & splashing from my TM31 & turned the speed up a bit to avoid. Thank you

    Great way to use grapes.

i also had 80g less than the recipe required, so substituted with peeled and cored very ripe pear. Giving a jar to my daughter & daughters-in-law for Mothers' Day brekkie treat.  Cooking 10

Cooked this today, used about half and half of the grapes, seedless and only had 600 gms and used raw sugar, followed thermie instructions and it tastes good.  Did have a funny smell when cooking but the end product is worth it, so if you have some grapes lying around that are getting a bit old I recommend this recipe.
