Ingredients

Apple Crumble Tea Cake

  • 250g g SR flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 150 g Butter, Room temp
  • 110 g white sugar
  • 80 g brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Bean Paste, (Or extract)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs, Room temp if possible
  • 2 --- Cups Stewed Apples, (Mine contained no sugar)

Crumble Top

  • 125 g plain flour
  • 75 g rolled oats
  • 100 g Butter, Softened
  • 100 g brown sugar

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 160 degree (fan forced)
  2. Grease & line a 23cm spring form tin.
  3. Add SR flour, baking powder & cinnamon to bowl.
    Turbo 2 secs x3 times.
    Transfer to a separate bowl.
  4. Cream butter, sugar, vanilla & salt together.
    30 secs, speed 4. Scrape bowl.
  5. Add eggs.
    20 secs, speed 4. Scrape bowl.
  6. Add dry mix to bowl (SR flour, baking powder & cinnamon.)
    20 secs, speed 4. Scrape bowl.
  7. Add stewed apples.
    30 secs, speed 4, reverse.
    (Blend more if not fully mixed.)
  8. Pour cake mix into springform tin & level.
  9. Wash & dry bowl.
  10. To make crumble top, place flour, butter & brown sugar into bowl.
    10 secs, speed 7.
  11. Add rolled oats.
    5 secs, speed 7, reverse.
  12. Add crumble on top of cake mix in tin.
  13. Cook at 160 degrees fan forced for 50 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.

    Serve warm with cream or icecream!

Tip

I already had stewed apples made, you will have to make them beforehand, otherwise purchase tinned apples.
