Ingredients

  • 80 g sunflower seeds
  • 80 g pepitas
  • 80 g Desiccated Coconut
  • 30 g sesame seeds
  • 30 g chia seeds
  • 90 g dates (dried pitted)
  • 90 g dark chocolate bits
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon honey
  • 2 eggs

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees fan forced

    2. Line slice tray with baking paper

    3. Put all seeds, coconut and dates into mixing bowl.Closed lid"Closed lid" 2 seconds, 3 times. Scrape down sides.

    4. Add egg, honey and chocolate bits mix Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" 5 sec/speed 5. Scrape down and mix for another Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" 5 sec/speed 5.

    5. Put into tray and press down firmly with mc.

    6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown on top.

    7. Let cool in the tray then cut into slices. 

    8. Wrap seperately and store in freezer. 

     

Tip

Nut free so great for school snacks!. Keep individually wrapped in the freezer. Put straight in the lunchbox from freezer and defrost naturally.

    Perfect lunch box snack for child care! I guessed the speed to mix and may have made the mixture a bit too fine but still tasted great.

    Was just not sure what speed to use when you put the seeds etc into the mixing bowl? It just says 2 seconds 3 times. Thanks

    This is such a winner! To cut down on sugar, I used cacao nibs instead of dark choc. Also replaced the honey with rice malt syrup.Thank you for posting.

    yum! my kids arent at school yet so I think I'll add some peanuts next time.  I'll also cook them to a dark golden brown next time to get them a bit crunchier as the middle was quite soft.

    These are healthy and tasty - I upped the honey to two tablespoons and added in some plain puffed rice as well. Great for kids and grown ups lunch boxes!
