Recipe's preparation

    Christmas Cake
  1. Closed lid"Closed lid" Add fruit and fruit juice to bowl.

    On reverse - 10 minutes, speed 2 @ 120°

Leave to cool for about an hour

    Turn oven to 170°

Add the flour to bowl with fruit mixture - on reverse- mix 2 minutes on speed 3 or until throughly mixed.

Add to greased cake tin and bake for 2 hours. I took mine out at 1 1/2 hours - Just check - or you can turn down the tempreture and cook for a further 1/2 an hour.

I drizzled brandy over the top when I took it out the oven (optional)

Brushed a lil honey over the top while still hot - for a glaze!

    It is delicious ❤️ ENJOY

Tip

After 1 1/2 hours check your cake - if you would like to cook it further for 1/2 an hour turn down the tempreture.

    Recipe is created for
    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Could I make muffins or cupcakes out of this and reduce cooking time?

Can anyone tell me if the fruit juice needs to be a mix of the ones mentioned in the ingredients or can you just use perhaps orange juice?
