Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 140 degrees.

  2. Place the nuttelex/coconut oil, rice mlt syrup and soft light brown sugar into the TM bowl and cook for 6 minutes/120 degrees/speed 2.

  3. Add the dates and chop for 4 seconds on speed 5. 

  4. Add all other ingredients and mix for 10 seconds on speed 3.

  5. Line a slice sized baking tray with baking paper, then press the mixture firmly into the tray.

  6. Bake at 140 degrees for 20 minutes.

  7. Wait for the mixture to cool completely, then cut into even sized bars or squares.

  8. Store in an airtight container in the fridge to keep them firm, or room temperature for soft, chewy bars.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
