I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Preheat oven to 180 degrees and line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
Mill raw sugar 2 seconds, speed 9.
Add brown sugar, butter & vanilla. Mix 30 seconds, speed 6 until light and fluffy.
Add eggs 1 at a time. 1st egg - 10 seconds, speed 5. 2nd egg - 10 seconds, speed 5.
Add flour and baking powder. Mix 30 seconds, speed 6. Use spatula through the hole in the lid to help stir the mixture if needed.
Knead for 30 seconds, "Closed lid" , "Dough mode"
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until light golden. Cool on trays for 5 mins, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Tip
This recipe should make approx 70 cookies. Keep your dough balls small! Also you may like to purchase a larger packet of freckles as I always run out when I buy the small packet... probably due to me eating too many in the process!
Suitable for TM31 also. Instructions are exactly the same.

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Family loved these....there were a lot of cookies which is great for a large family. 1st batch didnt last long at all. This recipe is a definate keeper.
Has anyone made these with gluten free flour ?
Really nice - thank you. I made half a batch.
My daughter loves these. I did reduce the sugar in them though.
These look great! has anyone tried making them with less sugar? or even with only the brown sugar?
really easy biscuits, and taste lovely - very pleasing indeed
Yummo
I don't think this recipe would be suitable to roll. You could choc dip after cooking!

I'd like to ask if these would suit being rolled and cut into shapes ? then chocolate dipped once cooked and cool ? not much of a baker sorry if a silly question !
