I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees (160 degrees for fan forced).  Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.

  2. Mill raw sugar 2 seconds, speed 9.

  3. Add brown sugar, butter, egg and vanilla.  Mix 20 seconds, speed 5.

  4. Add flour, cocoa and 170g of the choc chips.  Combine 25 seconds, speed 3.

  5. Roll 1 tablespoon of dough nto a ball and place onto tray.  Allow room for spreading.  Repeat with remaining dough.

  6. Press the remaining choc chips onto the top of each ball and slightly flatten. Eat any choc chips left before the kids find out!!

Tip

I like to use Cadbury dark choc cips - give them a try - very yummy!!

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Very yummy biscuits. Quick & easy. My son Mr4 and I made them together. Makes quite a few. My only issue was when I tried to mix them in step 4 an error came up on my machine (I am using a TM31) so I kneaded them for the same amount of time & then turned out great!

Great lunch box snack & I like that they don't have salted butter so my dad on a low salt diet could enjoy them!! Thanks tmrc_emoticons.)

I have made these biscuits a couple of times now and they are soooo delicious.  I made a batch the other day to take to a function and they all got eaten before I had a chance to get one, so we're making another batch today.
