Batter

  • 350 g apple, Cut into Quarters
  • 300 g wholemeal flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 375 g Milk, or milk alternative

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Place Apple into Bowl, Chop on Speed 4, 10 seconds

    2. Add All other ingredients  Mix on Speed 4, 5 Seconds

         3. Heat a large frying pan over medium heat. Brush base with butter. Using tablespoons of batter at a time, cook in batches for 2 to 3 minutes or until small bubbles start to form on the surface of pikelets. Carefully turn over. Cook for a further 1 to 2 minutes, or until cooked through.

    4. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.                                  

    5. Store in an airtight  container. (Makes 30)

    Very easy, I cooked them in my pie maker but they taste a little bland, might add some cinnamon or vanilla next time

    Was a supposed to peel and core?

    mine were very dense and didn't get to the point where the mixture bubbled in the pan. next time I would add more milk, blend the apple on a higher speed or remove peels and cores.
