I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

    Coconut Condensed Milk (dairy free)
  1. ***** IF YOU CANNOT HAVE DAIRY PLEASE DO NOT USE THE AYAM BRAND OF COCONUT POWDER - REFER NOTES BELOW****

    Put butterfly into TM bowl.

Add all ingredients (any order) and mix for 6 minutes 90 deg speed 4.

Put in container (preferably air tight) and once cooled down refrigerate. It looks kind of grey and not too nice once it's cooked, but if you let it cool down (I did overnight) it comes out nice & white and just like normal condensed milk. So yummy!

I have discovered the Ayam brand Coconut Milk Powder has dairy in it, you can purchase an organic one here https://thesourcebulkfoods.com.au/shop/dairy-friendly/coconut-milk-powder/

    Recipe is created for
    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Would this work just as well using Xylitol instead of sugar? It would be great to have as a keto friendly condensed milk.

Dancinboop: There is a note there advising that the Ayam brand has milk in it. There is also a link to a dairy free alternative. This note was put up when KateAmelia made me aware of this before your very kind one star review.....

SERIOUS ALLERGY NOTE: The brand of coconut milk powder in the picture contains dairy products.

Lactose free though, since lactose is a sugar not a protein tmrc_emoticons.)

This is not dairy free. Lucky I checked the ingredients of the ayam coconut milk powder packet before I consumed it. It has milk protein.

This recipe says dairy free but the Ayam brand coconut milk powder (pictured) actually contains dairy protein.
