I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Add to the TM Bowl berries, syrup, Vanilla Bean Paste and sugar. Cook for 5 mins / 90 degrees / speed 4.
Remove lid and allow to cool to 37 degrees. Will take approximately 5-10 mins. Once the temp displayed is 37 you can continue.
Add to the cooled mixture in the Bowl the Milk Powder, culture and long life milk. You must use long life milk as this has already been through the first stage of yoghurt making, thus enabling us to skip that step here.
Cook for 12 minutes / 37 degrees / speed 3.
While the milk is cooking. Place boiling water in your Thermoserver. About an inch deep.
Once the 12 mins is complete. Tip the water out of the Thermoserver. Tip the contents of the TM Bowl into the Thermoserver and place into a cold oven. Wrap your Thermoserver in a thick towel to help maintain the heat.
The yoghurt needs to sit in the cold oven for 5 - 7 hours (I often leave mine overnight). Your yoghurt will now be lovely and set. Place the Thermoserver into the fridge to completely cool for a few hours. At this stage you can transfer the yoghurt to a container.
Remember to take out 120g - 150g as the starter to your next yoghurt. This can be frozen - but when you defrost it do not use the microwave as you will kill the culture.
Provided there is no "double-dipping" and a clean spoon is always used to serve the yoghurt from its container, your yoghurt should keep for around 2 weeks in the fridge.
