Recipe's preparation

    The Night Before
  1. Place water, butter and yeast in TM bowl. Cook 3 mins/37/speed 1.
  2. Add milk, salt and sugar (if using). Mix 5 sec/speed 3.
  3. Add flour. Mix 5 sec/speed 3. Scrape down and repeat.
  4. Leave this mixture in the TM bowl overnight (make sure the measuring cup is in place).

    .
  5. The Next Day
  6. Your waffle mixture should be bubbly and have increased in size.
  7. Beat egg lightly, then add egg and bicarb soda to the TM bowl with last night's waffle mix. Mix 10 sec/speed 3.
  8. Pour about 1/4 cup of mixture into a waffle maker and cook according to your instructions. If you're not eating them straight away, leave to cool on a wire rack so they don't go soggy.

Tip

These take a little forward planning as you need to start the night before, but the flavour is worth it.
