Ingredients
Date Balls
- 220 grams Pitted Dried Dates
- 100 grams raw almonds
- 20 grams raw cashews
- 2 tsp vanilla extract, or 1/3 vanilla bean
- 65 grams desicated coconut
- 20 grams cocoa powder, optional or raw cacao powder
- 10 grams coconut oil, optional

I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Process nuts (& vanilla bean if using) 15 seconds on speed 10.
Add remaining ingredients & process 30 seconds on speed 10.
Roll into ball shapes & roll in some extra coconut.
If you can' t be bothered rolling into balls press mixture into a tray & put into the fridge or freezer & slice into squares.

Thanks to Kylie for her recipe, I just left out the 2 tbs of maple syrup.
Such a delicious guilt free healthy snack too
To save time can press the mixture into a square tin & put into the fridge or the freezer till set & then cut into squares insted of rolling balls.

Really satisying, dense, not too sweet.
No almonds, so I did (approx g)
- 60 raw cashews
- 20 linseed
- 20 chia
- 30 pepita
- 30 sunflower seeds
20 g coconut oil (i overscooped, didn't realise how dense it is!) but it worked OK
I realised you can't batch roll the balls then roll them in the coconut - (to cut down on mixing ingredients) - the heat from just being rolled makes them slightly sticky, and the cocnut sticks better, leave them to do a bunch together and they cool, so it doesn't stick as well.
I was hoping for more crunch from the chia, so I'll add it in in the last 10 seconds next time.
One word YUM!!!! I added 20g of white chia seeds to it. Made nice little bursts of crunch

Perfect! Used 1tbp maple syrup instead of coconut oil and only half the cocoa and they rolled perfectly and tasted so good!
Made these for my sick 5yo who isn't eating. He loved them and I was pleased I could get something nutritious in his tummy. Little hard to roll (crumbled) but was able to just squeeze and shape in my hand.
So easy and really yum. I tried using just 15g cocoa and that wasn't enough. It doesn't need the coconut oil I think.

nice n easy thanks.. we added 2 tbsn maple. and a weetbix!!.. mihgt leave out hte cocoa next time
