Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celcius.
  2. Line a baking tray (approximately 33x23cm) with baking paper. A smaller tray also works perfectly, you'll just have taller brownies.
  3. Place the chocolate in to the TM bowl, and process to a fine crumb (5 seconds/6 speed/MC on).
  4. Place the butter (cubed) in to the TM bowl, and process to break-up in to small pieces (5 seconds/6 speed/MC on).
  5. Melt the butter/chocolate mix until smooth and creamy (2 minutes/80 degrees/1.5 speed/MC on).
  6. Pour chocolate mix in to a seperate a bowl and put aside. You do not need to clean the TM bowl.
  7. Add eggs, sugar and vanilla in to the TM bowl. Mix until all combined (10 seconds/4 speed/MC on).
  8. Add chocolate mix in to the TM bowl. Mix until all combined (10 seconds/4 speed/MC on). Once complete, scrape down sides of the TM bowl using the spatula.
  9. Add flour and cocoa in to the TM bowl. Mix until all combined (30 seconds/4 speed/MC on). Scrape down side of the TM bowl using spatula. Repeat mixing if not yet combined (30 seconds/4 speed/MC on).
  10. Pour into lined tray, and bake in oven for 35-40 minutes until crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside.
  11. Enjoy!

Tip

Also delicious with nuts added. Perfect as is, or served with ice cream, cream or a dusting of icing sugar. Lasts up to a week (if not eaten beforehand!).

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
