Ingredients
- 60 g Rapadura or Raw Sugar
- 40 g 70% Dark Chocolate, broken into pieces
- 30 g cornflour
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp Black Chia seeds, soaked in 3 tbsp filtered water for a few minutes
- 500 g Milk

Weigh the sugar, chocolate and cornflour into the bowl and mill 10 secs/speed 9
Scrape down the sides of the bowl
Add egg, chia seeds and milk
Cook 7 min/90degrees/speed 4
Pour into ice block moulds and allow to cool before placing into freezer.
Place into freezer and let set completely
Tip
You can enjoy this as a warm custard as well in the colder months.
For TM5 owners, you can follow the guided cooking recipe for custard and just make tweaks as you go along.
This recipe is fine for TM31 owners to make too.

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
