Ingredients

  • 60 g Walnuts or Pecans, (or nuts of choice)
  • 130 g wheatmeal biscuits, (any plain biscuit will work)
  • 250 g dark chocolate, chopped, broken
  • 60 g Butter
  • 60 g pure honey
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds, (optional)
  • 100 g sultanas

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place walnuts into TM bowl and toast for 10 minutes at 100C on speed 1. Allow to cool a little then process for 4 seconds on speed 4. Set aside.


    2. Add biscuits and process 3-4 seconds on speed 4 (roughly chopped not pulverised). Set aside with the walnuts.


    3. Add chocolate process for 5 seconds on speed 8. Add butter, honey and chia seeds and cook for 2 minutes at 50C on speed 2. Scrape down sides and cook for a further 3 minutes at 50C on REVERSE + speed 2. During the last minute add the walnuts, biscuits and sultanas through the hole.


    4. Scrape into a lined slice tin and allow to set in the fridge for 1-2 hours. Cut into approx 40 squares.

    I made this for the first time today. I'm just a little disappointed. I think the quantity of butter was too much for me, as it pooled on top of the slice when it was setting in the fridge. Perhaps, next time I'd reduce the butter to half. Also, my digestive biscuits pulverised rather than broke up (my fault!). The flavour is nice though. Thanks for sharing!
