Ingredients

Date balls

  • 250 grams pitted dates
  • 50 grams rolled oats
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 80 grams almonds, bake first for 15 mins @ 160 degs C
  • 50 grams Mixed seeds, pepitas, sunflower seeds, etc
  • 2 tbsp Cacaco powder
  • 1 tbsp Honey., a little extra won't hurt

Coating

  • Desiccated Coconut

Recipe's preparation

    Date Protein Balls
  1. Place all ball ingredients into Closed lid"Closed lid" and process for 10secs / Speed 7

    Empty contents into a working dish

    Take a heaped tablespoon of the mixture and form a ball (approx 20mm) - repeat with remaining mixture

  2. Optional:

    Roll the balls in desiccated cocunut or a coating of your choice

Tip

Baking almonds before use improves the flavour / texture

These balls are OK without any coating at all

Store in the fridge or they can be frozen if required

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
