Ingredients

Cake Mix

  • 100 g sugar, Raw - Milled
  • 180 g SR. FLOUR
  • 60 Butter, Melted
  • 120 g Milk

Sauce

  • 300 g water
  • 30 g Butter
  • 60 g golden syrup

Recipe's preparation

    Cake Mix
  1. add all ingredients into bowl, mix speed 5 for 10 secs

    scrape down bowl and mix speed 5 for a further 10 seconds

    pour batter into well greased oven proof tray

  2. Put all sauce ingredients into clean bowl

    3 mins, 90deg, speed 1

    pour liquid over cake batter (do not stir)

  3. Place pudding into oven, 180degs for 30-35 mins and serve hot with cream, icecream or custard

     

Tip

I use a small Pyrex baking dish for this pudding as it only requires a small dish. 

This is a very sweet dish so a little goes a long way

Sugar can be adjusted to your sweet tasting

    Love this....it is so yummy. Made it quite a few times now. Quick and easy to do once dinner is cooked.

    Just made this and all I can say is yummy, only used 65grams of sugar but made more sauce.

    Dead easy and quickly made with pantry staples.... perfect for that winter warmer evening craving, thank you!

    And yes it is sweet - since it simply must be had with ice cream, I'd probably drop the sugar down a smidge next time just to take the edge off..... 

    I'll be making this again no doubt  tmrc_emoticons.)
