Ingredients

gluten free, sugar free, dairy free

  • 8 medjool dates, pitted
  • 1/2 banana
  • 100 g walnuts, (* activated if possible, see tips)
  • 145 g macadamia nuts, (* activated if possible, see tips)
  • 3 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
  • 140 g strawberries
  • 3 tablespoon chia seeds, black or white
  • 30 g desicated coconut, plus extra for rolling

  1. Place dates in  bowl, chop until smooth, 10 secs / sp 9

    Scrape down sides of bowl

  2. Add all other ingredients to bowl, Closed lid"Closed lid" turbo a few times until mixture comes together, nuts are broken down - but still has some texture

    Scrape down sides and repeat if necessary

  3. Take a dessertspoon of mixture and roll into walnut size balls

    Roll in extra coconut

    Place on a lined tray, refridgerate 20 mins, ENJOY!

Tip

Stored in an airtight container in the fridge will last up to 1 week

Suitable to freeze

Activated Nuts

Place the nuts in a bowl, add enough filtered water to cover, then set aside to soak. Hard nuts, like almonds, hazelnuts or Brazil nuts need to soak for 12 hours. Softer nuts, like cashews, macadamias or pecans only need 4-6 hours. Rinse the nuts under running water.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
