I added 250 g of potatoes but it ended up very thin anyway..
The flavour is delicious though!
I took the advice of others and added an extra potato, and the texture was pefect. Very tasty *
Beautiful and easy, I added extra potato as suggested on my first attempt, still delicious. 2nd attempt added about 150 grams of cauliflower (blitzed before adding other ingredients) and didn't add cream , again beautiful.
Lovely tasting soup. It is a bit thin, but could add an extra potato to thicken it up. I used bacon as I did not have ham and also added a carrot for a bit more vegetable. I also used all pink ling as I had it frozen in a block and had to thaw it all. A really excellent flavour. Oh, I did not add the cream as my husband and I don't need that extra and the flavour was still supurb. This will go onto the favourite list.

Slerp, slerp, slerp the only noise from my fussy children whilst they ate this. Yum yum
This soup was delicious and was gobbled up by us all; me and my husband, my fussy 4 year old and my hungry 11 month old. Will definitely make this again.
This was amazing. I added some green prawns and calamari rings as well, and also thickened it with some cornflour. the flavour was to die for and my guests have not stopped talking about it (weeks later). Serve it with fresh crusty sourdough.
This was lovely! I would possibly add a bit of cornflour to thicken the soup up a bit.... Just a personal preference... But it was really yummy
