Ingredients

Loaf

  • 1 carrot, roughly chopped
  • 1 zuccini, roughly chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 piece GF Bread, torn into 4
  • 500 g mince
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon Mixed Herbs, i used italian
  • pepper and salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Piquant Sauce

  • 3 tablespoon Chutney, fruit or tomato
  • 3 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 1/4 can water
  • 1/4 can brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Recipe's preparation

  1.  

    1. Put onion, carrot and zuccini into Closed lid"Closed lid" . Chop on speed 7 for 4 seconds.
    2. Add bread and egg. Chop on speed 5 for 2 seconds.
    3. Add mince and remaining ingredients. Mix on speed 4 until completely combined.
    4. Shape into loaf and place in ovenproof dish.
    5. Bake at 190C for about 25 minutes.
    1. Add all sauce ingredients to Closed lid"Closed lid" and cook on 95C at speed 3 for 8 minutes.
    2. Remove loaf from oven and drain juices.
    3. Pour over the meatloaf.
    4. Return to oven and bake for a further 30 minutes.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31).
