Ingredients

Paste

  • 150 g cashew nuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon Himilayan Sea Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Tumeric, Ground Corriander, Cumin

Dish

  • 1 brown onion
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 80 g tomato paste
  • 1 Tin Diced Roma Tomatoes
  • 400 g tin coconut cream
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 600 g Chicken Thigh Fillets, cut in 2 cm pieces

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. 1- Add all paste ingredients and blend- Speed 9/ 30 seconds

    2- Scrape down sides of bowl. Add onion into paste, chop- Speed 5/ 15 seconds

    3- Scrape down sides of bowl.Add coconut oil and saute- Speed 1/ Varoma/ 4 minutes

    4- Add tomato paste, tin tomato, coconut cream and honey and mix - Speed 4/ 5 seconds

    5- Add diced chicken and cook- Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" Speed 1/ 100 degrees/ 12 minutes.

Tip

- leave out the chilli powder for a mild version

- you can use coconut milk instead of cream for a lighter version

- you can use almonds instead of cashew nuts for the past

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
