Ingredients

Cottage pie

  • 1 white onion, Peeled/quartered
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, Can use crushed garlic from jar
  • 20g oil, olive, extra virgin
  • 500g Beef mince
  • 1 tablespoon beef stock cube (for 0.5 l)
  • 20g Worcestershire sauce
  • 20g tomato sauce
  • 20g Barbecue Sauce
  • 60g water
  • 2 level teaspoons dried mixed herbs
  • Salt & Pepper, To taste
  • 80g frozen peas
  • 80g frozen corn kernels
  • 1 tablespoon Gravox gravy powder
  • FOR THE PIE:
  • 1kg mashed potatoes
  • grated cheese, To top

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preparation: 25min

    Place onion,garlic into TM bowl and chop 3 seconds, speed 7. Scrape down bowl.

    Add oil to bowl and sauté for 4 minute, 100 degrees, speed 1, MC OFF.

    Add mince to bowl, try not to break it up as you put it in to keep the texture, and cook for 5 minutes, 100 degrees, reverse, spoon speed (slowest speed), MC OFF.

    Add stock, Worcestershire, Tomato, BBQ sauces, water, herbs, Salt & Pepper to bowl and cook for 10 minutes, 100 degrees, reverse, spoon speed (slowest speed), MC ON.

    Add peas/corn and gravy Powder and cook for 5 minutes, 100 degrees, reverse, spoon speed (slowest speed), MC ON.

    Transfer the cooked mince into a baking dish and allow to cook completely before topping with mashed potatoes and a sprinkle of grated cheese.

    Bake in the oven for approximately 30 minutes, or until cheese is golden on top.

    Enjoy (add a bit of tomato sauce) 😋
