Recipe's preparation

    method
  1. Describe the preparation steps of your place 1000g of water in the bowel

weigh 170g of rice in the basket, wash then transfer rice into bowelinsert butterfly. add lemon grass, chicken stock, garlic, and put lid on. 10 mins, 110degrees and on lowest spin. after 10 mins turn down heat to 100 degrees and put it on for 30 minutes. check if it is cooking well but still has water in it, if it starting to look gluggy add a cup of water if it looks fine then add in your mint, coriander, spring onion, soy sauce and fish sauce. cook for a further 10 minutes. once its done, if it isn’t the consistency of a thick soup add more water. put in a thermoserver add chicken and Chinese sausages and stir through add a kit of salt and a squeeze of lemon, serve.

Tip

you do not have to add Chinese sausages but they are yummy, you fry them up first then cut up, put in bowel. everything is optional, you don’t have to have the fish sauce if you don’t want to or soy sauce but it does taste better with it.i think the more mint and coriander and spring onion there is the more refreshing it taste. also the lemon is option i like all my soups with a squeeze with lemon.i have only made this once so its not yet perfected, i firstly added 200g of rice but it got gluggy fast so i reduced the rice on this recipe

    Recipe is created for
    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
