I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
- Preheat oven to 163 degrees Celcius. Spread beans evenly onto a lined baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes until slightly dried out. Put aside.
Place bread pieces into bowl and chop on spd 8 for 10 secs. Transfer to a bowl to keep aside.
Place garlic cloves into bowl and chop on spd 8 for 10 secs.
Scrape down the side of the bowl.
Add onion and capsicum to the bowl. Chop on spd 5 for 10 secs. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
Add olive oil to the bowl and cook for 2 mins at 100 degrees on sp 1.
Add spices, cheese, eggs and sauces to the bowl. Mix at spd 2 for 20 secs.
Add baked black beans, salt and pepper to the bowl and mix at spd 2 for 20 secs. Leave chunks of black beans in mix.
Scrape mixture into a large bowl. Form into patties– about 1/3 cup of mixture in each.
To bake: Place patties on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and bake at 375°F (191°C) for 10 minutes on each side, 20 minutes total. To grill: Place patties on greased aluminum foil and grill 8 minutes on each side. Heat temperature is personal preference as all grills differ. Generally, black bean burgers should grill on medium-high heat about 350°F (177°C) – 400°F (204°C).
Serve on a bun with condiments if that is your preference. I added a slice of cheese onto it while it was baking giving it the appearance in the photo.

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
