Kisir - Turkish Tabbouli

  • 230 g water
  • 40 g tomato paste, or Paprika Paste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 250 g bulghur wheat, fine
  • 50 g olive oil
  • 2 onions, or 1 Large
  • 150 g cucumber
  • 100 g carrot
  • 100 g Capsicum
  • 1 tomato, large or 2 small
  • 2 tsp dried mint
  • 4 sprig fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 lemon

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add water, tomato/paprika paste and salt into the bowl

    transfer into another bowl to cool
  3. Place onions into a bowl

    Scrape down sides of the bowl
    Add 25g olive oil

    Transfer into separate plate to cool
  4. Add cucumber, carrot, red capsicum and tomato into the bowl

  5. Combine All ingredients into the large bowl and stir through
    including the remaining mint, paprika, black pepper and juice of the lemon.
  6. add chilli. extra lemon juice and extra salt to taste.
