The vinegar taste was overpowering. I cooked it for an extra 10 mins to see the taste would evaporate away. A bit better, but would decrease the vinegar next time.

I’ve just made this and it’s runny will it thicken up or should I cook It longer

I make this recipe all the time and keep it in the fridge for putting on pizzas and anything else I can get away with!

It is really easy to make and really tasty but definitely more of a caramelised onion than an onion jam.

Easy and tasty. Will definitely make again. Mine started to splatter in the last few minutes - wish I had have read comments first! Simmering basket would do the trick. I made mine in a TM5.

Really enjoyed the onion jam, only wish the extra jars could be stored in the pantry. Also I placed the simmer basket on top after the jam started to spit out on to the Thermi and bench.

I've made this twice now. So delicious. Use it on sandwiches and as a side with sharp cheese. YUM!

This was nice - more like caramelised onions than a jam (I expected it to be 'jammier' and the onion more broken down).

Very easy and I'm gifting this for Christmas as a quick and easy homemade pressie.

Thank you for this recipe, I've made two batches and will continue to make more.  I usually buy my onion jam, now I can make it and give more away as gifts in the festive season.  Very tasty, much appreciated!
